Available now:

To opt into the development snapshot, do the following:

  • Right-click Galactic Civilizations III in your Steam library

  • Select “Properties”

  • Select the “Betas” tab

  • Choose “Opt-in” from the drop-down menu

  • Close the Properties window

No worries - I was actually surprised that all games didn't have some placeholder option for Opting In on Betas, it's news to me that the studio has to prompt Steam for that.

So, basically I forgot whatever it was I was supposed to do tonight and instead I am playing Gal Civ 3, and concentrating reaaaally hard on this beta update having fixed my turn hang issue.  Should it not be fixed, I will definitely not cry this time and probably watch something on Netflix.
