Hey there forums.

So, my game boots, runs, lets me play around with the options, etc.  But when I actually start a game or open the ship creator it just fails to make any 3D assets. All I get is a black screen with the UI. I can hover over the general area where a ship/planet is supposed to be, and its tooltip will pop up, but its still just a blank black void of sadness. 

If anybody has any ideas or such, that'd be awesome.

So far I've tried: 

Reinstalling the game

Drivers and DirectX fiddling

Messing with all the settings, etc.

I do have an open ticket with support as well. While the guy on it has tried his best, nothing has been fixed yet. I'm pretty sure something ridiculous is broken and I feel bad for him cause it's probably something that he can't get data on remotely.
