Stardock LH upgrade vs. Steam version

upgrade or full version?

I already own a downloadable copy of FE, which is installed on my system. Is the LH upgrade through SD just that, an upgrade to the FE files already on my computer? Or is it the full version same as the one downloaded through Steam?

If the latter, I'll just purchase through Steam, but if the former then I'll purchase through SD and avoid the full install.

The upgrade is just the special discount pricing for existing owners of the game (potentially even free if you bought WoM early on).

LH itself is standalone (doesn't need or replace FE) and downloaded via Steam regardless where you buy it.
