I have been working on a new race, the Avestians they are a race of humans who have dragon blood in their veins. This blood is quite weak and has been growing weaker since the titans came and almost wiped them out. Their blood does give them some abilities that other races can't get like the ability to breath fire.
The blood ability gives them a 25% resistance to magic and also gives them long life. The long life is shown as an extra trait available to all Avestian troops. The real power of their blood comes out as your sovereign and other henchmen level up, because they get unique traits. These new traits give abilities, boost the stats and also giving them access to unique buildings and units. The Unique buildings depend on your choices of traits (for example going down the Dragon Knowledge Path gives you access to magical things while going down the Dragon Kind Path will give you access to more combat based buildings.
The Kingdom of Avesta gets the ability of being able to hire henchmen from the word go and they get these henchmen cheaper. The down side of them is that it is more expensive for them to get normal champions.
