In my most recent game, I was doing the escort person back to estate, fight bandit captain quest. The estate location was right next to another set of monsters 3 Ophidians. Upon entering the estate and getting the question asked to fight or "sorry, a better deal came along" I selected fight. Instead of bringing me into combat with the bandit captain, the game instead brought me into combat with the Ophidians.
Exact locations of everything. I was moving NW into the estate. Ophidians were directly W of me, and directly S of the Estate.
