I probably don't have the name of the ui window correct, but when trading something usable from a selected character to anther (I use "T"), after trading it, the item doesn't disappear from the selected character's "quick use" bar until deselected and re-selected.
The "quick use" bar is the one above the level indicator that shows the usable items and some traits.
