Make desktop "pages" specific to a monitor

I just installed the beta for Fences 2 (I like it!), but one feature that I want to use, doesn't work that well for me.

I use 3 monitors here at work, and when I drag the fences, they move to the other monitor.  Basically they move as a whole.  I'd like to be able to scroll pages on each monitor so I can pull up various tools and whatnot on one monitor and leave my primary monitor fences alone, etc.

Thanks!

I too use 3 monitors and would love to see this feature implemented.

I'll pass this along to the devs.

I second this! I use two monitors at work, and the drag fences features needs a "Multi-monitor behavior" tick-box. It would be great if I could slide my fences from my left monitor onto the right, and vice versa.

As cool as that sounds (and it's a good idea, for sure), there's the issue of differing screen sizes and the logistics involved in moving from a 1920x1200 fence arrangement onto a 1024x768 screen.  Could get dicey, but it's possible.

At the end of the day, you essentially dealing with two differently sized rectangles. I'm pretty sure most people covered rectangles by the age of 4.

Yes, rectangles, but also logically rearranging several small rectangles within another rectangle in a way that maintains their usefulness.  If someone has an entire 1920x1200 screen covered with fences of varying sizes and dimensions, translating that smoothly to a much smaller screen with a different aspect ratio requires some thought, a lot of logistical work, and having to account for a huge variety of permutations.  Don't know many 4 year olds with that level of programming knowledge.

Like I said, dicey, but possible.

Or, don't resize the fences at all.  The icon sizes themselves don't change between a 1024w to a 1280w, so why change fence sizes?  I do swap between two differently sized monitors on my quad setup at home (Pair of 1920x1080 and a pair of 1280x1024) and found it rather irritating how the fences would resize.
