About half of the sovereigns in sovern selection have free paths. I breifly played the game for 15 min with some Ctrl N regeneration of the map.
I exit back to the main screen and began a new game. I then see that the sovereigns picked up new abilities. If I close down FE all the way and restart it, the sovereigns would then have the correct abilities. In the included picture, Verga starts with path of the warrior.
