Most importnant:
We need to be able to choose, from which side we want to attack. If I have got enough movement, I want to be able to choose If I want to attack from the side, front or from the back, at the moment its completely random and does not feel right. Abilities allowing to do more dmg from sides or back would also be nice.
Simply put, I want to be able to choose from which square I want to perform attack. Anyone who has played Heroes of the might and magic should know how this works.
Edit: Just found out, that I can actually move first, and then attack. So it is possible to do that, but its double clicking.
Other annoyances:
1. I want to see how far can enemy move, if I mouseover them with different colored squares (red) . Overlaping squares should have third color (blue), as an example. By overlaping I mean squares where I and my enemy can move.
2. If you mouseover enemy on the battlefield, it shows you in the list on the left when its going to move. But it does not work the other way arround.
3. Square I am pointing at needs to be highlighted. Same for the enemies.
4. Seperate different action buttons , defend and pass should be seperated from special attack and both should be seperated from spells. I would also prefer a little bigger icons for the spells and actions so I can identify them faster. Or allow me to change hotkeys or keybind different spells or actions on buttons or numbers. Also defend do not have shortcut.
5. Sometimes If I run out of movement, I have to perform either pass or defend action to actually end my unit movement. (maybe design decision)
6. Change the text for the spells and abilities or make it looks nicer, it just look wierd and its too big
(my personal complain)
7. Can you please update tooltips for spells so they show actual effect, together with all the shards.
8. No footstep sound for my units. Overall you need to add more sounds and music to improve immersion. But movement and attack sounds are most important.
Do this and you will have very solid tactical combat. It is already huge improvement, but you need to polish it a bit further to make it more intuitive.
