unhandled exception on connect in multi games

Guys hopeing somebody can help.Myself and a friend bought demigod about 3 weeks ago on steam and have been playing nightly over the Internet no prob .However now we are unable to connect .Each time 1 of us hosts and the other tries to connect the host machine locks up and gets a response of unhandled exception.if others have had this prob please help as we love this game. We just running the base steam install .No mods or anything just a bit of a pissoff because we really like the game.Also its usually just him and me so. tho any help is appreciated.

P.S have you had any probs running game.

It sounds like one of you has a different version or might have a mod enabled.  It might be best for both of you to double check the mods.  If one mod is a different release, even though it's the same mod, you can get the error when connected to each other.  

You should both also check your game version and impulse reactor version when online.  You can do this by hosting a password protected game and looking at http://demigodthegame.com/opengames.asp and finding the game you hosted.  If one of you is running a lower version, that person should update.  Just don't let anyone join and dump the game when you're through checking the versions.

If you reinstall, you won't lose your online favor points, but you might lose the offline tournament ones.  That shouldn't be a big deal though.  They're real easy to regain.

try playing with others on net games.

I had only crashes when ALT TAbbing.

Rarely, maybe two times had some NAT error or something - other ppl were prob behind firewall.

I had a hui guy hosting game then leaving when he was loosing - thus invalidating the game and thats it.

 

Game with 1.3 patch is good and the gamepšlay is excellent.

I think I may have 3 of us LAN playing on friday and after a few games we just might feel competent to play with others for a bit.

 

Oh, I wish for a Demigod 2....

Heys guys thanks again for your responses.As I said in a previous post we are just running the base steam install no mods.The prob only occurs when we try to play online i went to his place on friday and we played 4 lan games no prob but as soon as i go home same prob .We host a game and no matter which 1 of us hosts as soon as the other guy trys to join the host machine locks. We also tried to host a game using hamachi but we couldn't see each other(we tried this because we are able to play lan games so we thought this might do it0.If anybody has any ideas how to get a game up through hamachi or similar program that may help .   Many Thanks again

Also we where able to play for about 2 weeks before this prob started with no prob at all we where playing 2-4 games a night it only jus started.

I didnt understand, were you being able to play for two weeks without problems on internet, against live players, or something else?

If that was the case, you must have installed something on PC that ruined it.

On another hand,

I wonder if you can (only one of you) join other's games (so that you ddont host at all and dont play together in one game).

 

also, any response from stardock support?

hey guess what I tried connecting to the patheon and played a game against a random player and now my prob is fixed i can host games again .really weird but if anybody else has the same prob try that.

Just a further update my friend did the same as the above post and his prob is fixed as well.So yeah
