Sorry all my American friends. The Band was not American but in fact Canadian. Only Levon Helm was American and the other members were Canadian with the bands origin coming from Toronto, Canada
From the later years.
Same thing for Steppenwolf; they all came from Toronto, including John Kay who had moved from Germany.
Win-tube ?
CCR. The Band, Steppenwolf...man what memories they bring back. Some really good times were had then. Anyone remember Wolfman Jack?
Clap for the Wolfman. You gonna dig it till the day you die.
I sure do remember the Wolfman.
He was great. Who else from that era? Been awhile.
That's interesting...always thought they were southern boys.
Wolfman and 'The Midnight Special' show!
How about this Uvah? Still my favorite all time TV series. Amazing what they could get away with then.
Archie Bunker. The quintessential bigot. The look on his face when he met Sammy Davis JR. Priceless.
Yup. More of a mans show I think. Most women did not see the humor in it. All in the Family was Carroll O'Connors best work. His death was a great loss.
This one goes back before my time but I still love Buddy Holly. Lets make this about your favorite things of the 50's, 60's and 70's
The Band was Ronnie Hawkins' backup group that eventually formed after Ronnie moved to Toronto. Here's a link to a bio:
