Ok, hear goes my first impressions from my first two games, mostly in basic point form, as per one of my previous posts, I am dyslexic, so don't take spelling/grammar mistakes too harsh, thanks.
So far it is a major improvement, I'm not sure how the AI is so total kicking my but on max hardness, but I'll work it out, maybe its been tweaked to get too many bonuses now.
Strangely enough no update and no crash, what ever 'more magic' switch you guys hit, good on you
On a successful exit the game seems to have done a dump and an .err zip file, but deleted the originals.. new feature?

First and foremost, the intro has not been fixed. Its sound level is still a fixed output. This needs to be read from the options you set up, my speakers nearly explode under it, every other game I own has been nicely balanced to my sound requirements, why dose EWoM has a fixed sound output for the intro? -Long standing issue.
On sound, long over due a slider for 'All' or 'Main'.
Some custom options need a better description Brave - "Gives bonus to HP" vs Death worship "Gives +10 to HP"
If you start the game with a leader who gets a bonuses to either tech, why don't the tech options screens put up straight away? We only get the one of the two popping up in Fall 159.
The large red ! over resourese that can be built on, should only pop-up when you have the ability to build on them, ie don't show them if I'm short on gold etc.
I do have to ask, dose anyone else think "Fertility" is an odd name for a spell that gives a + to prestige? I though this would give + to food.
Founding a city, some times units are pushed out, sometimes not.. if they aren't pushed out they seem to be left in limbo, shown on the map, but inside of the city, thankfully you can still access them.. so far.
The spell 'Heals' why is this a tactical only spell? Surly it should be usable on both? Maybe make it two different spells each with half the cost to learn if here are built in limitations on a spell being available for both.
My firmilers can each cast one firmiluer, sweet! dosen't help that they are useless, has combat been that changed that 4 units with 4 attack and 2 defence cant take out one with 6 attack and 0 def?
We need to get the population requirements balanced for improvements, why struggle to get an improvement that gives +10 @ 50 population when you can just build 10 with +1@5population.
Can we please get all units healing +1HP per turn by default?
Janskis tips are out dated, and need an overhaul, dying costs essence?
I seem to be able to que up three caravans to build from each city, doesn't work when you send them out though <G> You get the caravan limit message each time. If you can only build one, I don't think we need to be reminded each time you build one across the whole empire anyway.
Many pop ups still cut off in description, please set up a map with one of everything, and check them all out, some screen shots included in link.
Temples, any way to get the limit changed to number of shrines, or make them an upgrade on top of the shard resource?
When you are building, the list of what you can build should show next to it two numbers, what you have in that city and what you have in your empire. ie (2,8). After building a few improvements I found it hard to remember what I had and hadn't build, maybe I'm getting old.. But on the other side, you can't use the mouse to hover over buildings to find out what they are.
Why Stardock, oh why is the options screen bug still in? Why when I go to the options and come back is the map not working, why do we still have to zoom in and back out, this is a year old original Beta bug that needs to be fixed!
A suggestion for the sovereign, we need an auto select for them when they recover from being killed. And an auto select for units that are built, maybe it could be a tick box on the build que?
Needed feature, with custom sovereign you have the ability to right click on them and delete them, we need this added to the custom fractions!
I have included an error.log for one of my heroes , Viy, I noticed in the summer of 173 that the pic was gone from the card, I also found out the hard way that auto save wasn't working.. Have deleted all old saves and it is now working.
