This is a great thread.  I'm learning more about people I see online, which I appreciate.  I think I'm the oldest person here, in a community of atypically older gamers.  I'm about to turn 39.  

Computers and gaming have been my primary hobby since 1987 when I got my intel 8086.  I've been breaking them and building them ever since, and playing non-stop since Bard's Tale II (the original, in four colors!).  Ugg.  I'm old.  I bought Demigod in early 2010, but didn't like it until late 2010 when I started playing more online.  In addition to computers and gaming, I also am an avid soccer player and play in old-men's leagues twice weekly.

I'm married to a woman with her own fair share of geek cred, so that's really good.  And I got a new dog, a rescue French bulldog, who farts and snores, so that is somewhat good.  

I'm an educator.  I have a bachelors in preaching (I was a minister, now an atheist).  I have masters degrees in Philosophy, Theology, and History.  And I am getting my PhD in religious history at Indiana University, Bloomington.  I am presently writing my dissertation on colonial American religion.  I teach classes on witches/heretics, the idea of hell, American colonial history, and freshman reading comprehension.  

Your job sounds awesome.

I had a class as a freshman in college where we discussed lots of old literature, one of the books we read was Dante's Inferno. When you said you taught a class about the idea of hell it brought back some fond memories

To Zen, I have studied our game and copied some of your ub build.  I've been mauling mids ever since!  But since I didn't last very long in our recorded match, I wonder what you do after level 7!!

To Zex, yes I teach Dante's Inferno in the hell class.  Glad you have fond memories of that reading.  I'll probably add the video game to the curriculum next time I teach it (give students a chance to play it and report on the experience or some such).  

To Jongalt, you betcha.  It's an interesting story if you're into that sort of thing.  I like Alan Watts, so thanks for the compliment.

Oh.  That's disappointing.  Thought there might be something fun and interesting there.  good heads up.
