Ok, I've been playing through probably more than 12 hours on a game and have encountered some of the following glitches:
- a fire shard on my map that shows up graphically, but doesn't otherwise function as a fire shard (can't build, no tool-tip, etc)
- adventure/quest locations (e.g. huts, etc) that don't disappear once the relevant quest is done (it becomes hard to remember which ones I've completed and which ones are untouched)
- performance! I've had to play on the cloth map to keep things moving smoothly, but I'm running a brand new super-powered laptop that far exceeds the recommended specs
- speaking of the cloth map, fairly predictably when I go into the 'options' screen and make an adjustment to anything, when I come back to the game it will have kicked me out of the cloth map (sort of) and be showing a heavily artifacted version of the normal map. this is then corrected by going back in to 'options' unchecking and rechecking the 'play on cloth map' box, and returning to the game.
- also, on the cloth map, I've got a problem with a couple of graphical artifacts, notably the mid-air suspension of a horse above a city tile where (in the normal map) there would be a horse on the ground
Finally, the bug that I encountered last night that prompted this post was a massive increase in the attack value of one of my units as a result of having the spell 'confusion' cast on it repeatedly by a troll shaman. I was attacking said troll shaman with a single unit of multiple swordsmen (attack value 96), and the first casting of 'confusion' seemed to have the conventional effect of decreasing my attack value significantly. But then a second casting multiplied the attack value (up to 500-something), a third casting knocked it back down, and a fourth casting elevated it to ridiculous levels (7000+ attack value). Worst of all, once out of the tactical battle screen, the unit appears to have retained this attack value on the main map.
