I was just thinking it would be kind of cool if there were quests that gave access to new technology you can't typically research.
For instance you do the quest and as a reward they teach you another hidden stage of the archery tree or other things like that or even special spells and such it would just add more flavor and make actively doing quests more interesting instead of just parking your sovereign in a city and waging war late game.
