After just a little while playing with 1.07, i get hard lockups that require my computer to be powercycled. I'm willing to submit any information as required to get this solved.

Starrider, try updating your video drivers. Your current ones are from 2009. You can use laptopvideo2go.com if nVidia or the OEM don't have anything newer.
Thanks kryo and GreenReaper. The drivers solved the problem. I thought I was current, but Toshiba had never approved the new ones.
