Campaign 1.06.019 - Not able to proceed after defeating ogre

Hi,

I originally played a campaign game on 1.05, then upgraded to 1.06.019 so had to start again. In this new campaign, I could proceed up to the fight with the ogre, but no further !!! I did not receive a Pioneer, and there is no Crystal mine or Fertile land space around the ogre's lair, just 2 iron mines:

Am I doing something wrong here? Is this the same problem reported in link https://forums.elementalgame.com/392249 ?

After defeating the ogre, (with magic only) I did NOT get a message that I should build an outpost, and collect 25 crystal.
I only know that from playing the campaign before, but the kingdom report also mentions it, so the game knows I won the fight...

Right now I'm stuck. I waited until my caravans had arrived at their targets, and walked back to this other guy's city to see if that changed anything, but no. Both my cities are at level 3, so no chance of the "upgrade to level 2" respawning the crystal as mentioned in the link.

Any ideas?

Does this happen to you every time? If you have a save from prior to killing the ogre that reproduces this, the devs should be able to find the cause.

I had a similar problem with the Crystal production. Here is what I found and How I corrected it:

1. Build a Mining town near the abandoned Mining town.

2 Build a Crystal Mine.

3. Important:Have your Sovereign stay stationed at the town until 50 crystals have been produced, If the Sov. moves away from the Town it seems to invalidate some flag, even coming back to the town the quest is never completed.

A message in the Campaign should state that the Sovereign must stay in the Town until the appropriate resources have been produced. Not just the Message you get when you approach the Citadel.

Kryo, I have a save from just after beating the trolls, which I have not yet tried yet to restart from.
I will try that first, and will keep you posted (i'm a bit short on spare/playing time right now).

Shafk, one of the problems I see is that there is NO crystal resource, NOR the fertile land resource; just 2 iron mines.
I remember from the 1.05 pass through the campaign that when I arrived at the ogre's camp, the crystal and fertile land were already present.

Anyhow, I'll report what happens when I get to this point again.

I was able to recreate the problem, in 1.0.6, when I used the earlier save file and killed the ogre WITH SPELLS ONLY, 2 spells per turn (don't ask me why I could cast 2 spells per turn), and then finishing the battle with auto-combat.

When I used the same save file and used auto-combat for the entire battle, the crystal and pumpkin patch spawned correctly, and i could continue. However, that was after I had levelled up to 1.07.025.

Weird still, but this info might help in recreating the situation. Otherwise, I still have that save file, which I can post if needed... But at least I can continue now.
