Helloooo everyone,
This post will be a testimony to all my grief with this game. To reduce forum clutter, i will not start a new thread for every "OMG it does not make sense this way" issue i have, but keep adding them to this thread instead. While I'm fairly sure that not everyone will agree on everything i post, I am also positive, that most of the things I post are valid problems, that need to be addressed eventually. So without further ado, let's get down to business.

Army / Unit issues:
**Unit movement and animations in combat are really slow. They could use a setting in options so everyone can tweak them to their liking.
**Armies could use the overlay from the tactical combat when moving around. (valid movement locations are shaded to a diff. color) It is not really clear right now how far an army can go or what the valid squares for movement are. Causes lots of confusion and frustration when the unit gets "stuck" on a hillside you didnt notice.
**Rally point for unit production. Nuff said. Large maps with lots of cities, you do not want to manually micro each unit to the border of your empire.
**Option for sequential unit movement, option to "watch" enemy and/or neutral movement in or near influence. You should generally fire up your CIV4 and see how army movement works there. You can't really go wrong by following that. In times of war, it is really important to be aware of enemy troop movements.
**Warning on end-turn, when there are armies with movement points left. Sentry option for armies which causes them to be skipped when making this check.
Cities:
**The whole manually placing buildings thing should go. Building placement plays very little, if not totally zero role in the game from what i can tell, so it could just as well be automated saving you an extra click on buildings. At least there should be an option to have the AI plop the buildings you select down for ya, so you only have to double click them in the list.
**Since buildings have no drawbacks from what i can tell (no costs or penalties associated with them), there really is no point in not building everything you can in every city. With that in mind, there should be a reminder when pressing end turn, that certain cities have buildings you can build. Since this could lead to frustration issues when waiting to have enough gold for that expensive building, you should allow players to place buildings in the queue even if they do not have the resources do build them just yet. Building should start as soon as they have the resources ready. There could be one big queue for the whole empire, so you can prioritize the build order between cities as well. Obviously you have to be able to reorder this queue at any time. See Age of Wonders on how this should be done.
Technologies and resources:
**Clarify the requirements for resources, if there are any. I have yet to see any mounts in the game. They are either extremely rare, or they are depending on a technology i have never researched. Also it does not really make sense, that i can buy mounts from the item shop, but can not build mounted units at the same time. I mean: if i can affort a mount for my hero for 100g, then surely i could do the same for my scout.
Keep in mind, that some of these might be subjective. If you think they are fine the way they are, thats cool. Maybe you can even convince me why they are better the way they are now.
