Pretty small.

If you can find it for $10 or so, it's worth it. You can easily spend 5 hours with the AI before you get bored and then you can play Multiplayer at "low risk" in case you end up not liking it.
It's rough to get games as a newbie, because of the style of play. One bad player on a team can ruin the game for their entire team EXTREMELY easily. 1v1 is boring and only a small selection of people play it, and those who do only play that so they are awesome at it and know all the weird little tricks.
The best place to get decent fast and also to get games quickly is OMG. You can join our vent server here:

In my opinion, this is the best multi-player experience in a game I've ever played. The meta does get a bit stale after awhile, but it's still quite balanced over all and it's a LOT of fun once you learn what is good and what is bad and what to do and what not to do.
It has a lot of bugs, sadly. Crashes are frequent and a 5% crash rate is average for everyone. When you factor in 6 players in an average game, then you can see that crashes can ruin at least a game or two a night. A lot of players refuse to play games where there is a slightest chance of them losing and you'll hate the word "balance". And lag can sometimes be really bad.
But... AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME game. I just wish the problems were fixed...

For a starting player, use Unclean Beast, Erebus, or Oak. Those are the overall strongest and easiest to play Demigods, in that order ("easiest" to "easier"). There is also a plethora of builds for all those characters, you can find several of them in the Demigod Strategies forum, I believe.
