Thinking about getting diplomacy

give me the low down

So I really like Sins, but I have heard that in diplomacy pirates are crazy stong, so much so that late game pirate attacks can take out your heavy fortified, starbase clad home planet. Is this the case? If it is true then why bother spending money on your own units when they are vastly inferior to pirates?

Do you already have Entrenchment (making it $10) or just vanilla Sins (making it $20)? If you already have Entrenchment it's probably worth the $10, especially for someone who doesn't play online multiplayer where many of the Diplomacy features don't come into play.

If you like having pirates in the game, there are some mods to diplomacy that bring the pirates back into reality.

Also, most the good mods have moved or are moving to diplomacy.

Yeah! the pirates are pretty strong. Also the AI. is a lot better which really makes diplomacy worth the purchase IMHO. The Diplomacy side of things does add that extra dynamic to the game also. If you like Sins, then for $10 you shouldn't be disappointed.
