Okay, I recently bought Sins (basic) via a retail outlet, and went to update - every button on the game intro menu fails to target any website.

So I then try to register the game...go through all the Impulse process...can't register there because you can only register Impulse purchased stuff.

Tried the Stardock website, same deal.  Came to this forum site, same deal.

I've checked the tech forums, and apparently this has been an issue for some time (but no solutions provided).

Can anyone please provide some advice thanks, how retail purchased Sins can be registered? (and how to update/patch - again, the 'leads to nowhere' redirection from the game menus is useless).

You can close this one thanks.  What the 'instructions' didn't say was that once impulse was installed, you had to log out, then start the game to play...that takes you to the impulse screen, then you have to register (twice, because the first time won't work).  You can then update when the God 'Impulse' gets over it's hissy fit.
