Years ago I bought GC2 Gold and got the discs to go with it, etc. Obviously, that doesn't include ToA, and ToA seems to fix a lot of the things that irked me about DA. When I built my new computer, I went ahead and reinstalled GC2 off my Gold discs, and it seems to work fine playing DA. When I went to download ToA from Impulse, it told me it couldn't find DA. I used the Search for it on my Hard Drive option, and pointed it at my DA directory, and it recognized it, and told me I needed an update. So I told it to go ahead and download that, at which point it tells me GalCiv2 isn't installed.
Given that I'd have to have GalCiv2 installed to have DA installed, that's somewhat strange to hear. Additionally, no matter where I point it, it refuses to recognize that I have GC2. I have tried reinstalling GC2 Gold from my discs, even with Impulse open for the process, and it just refuses to acknowledge that I have GC2.
I can't very well download GC2 from Impulse, because a 1.4 GB download would use up my entire bandwidth allowance on my regrettably stupid Satellite internet for almost 4 days straight.
Am I doing something wrong in the process of trying to download ToA from Impulse? Do my GC2 gold discs not actually contain GC2 for some reason?
Any help at all on this would be appreciated, as I currently have just wasted $20 on something I can't even attempt to install.
Current OS is Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, with all updates installed.
