I believe the AI also requires that technology in order to complete those quests, which is something we may consider removing as a requirement for AI.

I've had them ask me for give-resources mission, and been unable to ask them for one.  This would suggest THEY have the tech, AND I know I have the tech.  Again, is this a bug, or simply me not being able to find the setting to let me do it?

I think the AI offering you resource missions before you have the tech may simply be something we overlooked. I'll be sure to fix that up. As far as giving players resource missions before they have the tech that becomes an issue because half the idea behind that tech was to stop immediate feeding in multiplayer games.

I've recently played two games against both human and AI opponents and was unable to issue the "give resource" mission to most everyone.  I'm pretty sure this feature is bugged in regard to the AI -- they were demanding money from me but I couldn't from them. (edit: I had the demand tribute technology researched)

I'm not sure I understand the point of restricting this mission only to players who have researched the tech.  It doesn't make sense that I can't demand money from an ally/non-ally once I've researched the tech.  Can we at least have an option to enable this capability for those of us who play with friends and aren't concerned with the feeding issue?

I'm right with you there, Apheirox! My mom has insisted, ever since the vanilla days, that one of the Vasari is saying "Give me the cookies", which I never understood.

That aside, I think it doesn't seem right that both me and someone else need to have something researched. Suppose they or I never get around to it? I could understand if I need to have it researched to issue it to someone else, but I don't agree with that either. I for one think once I research the item that allows me to issue a mission, I shouldn't need to wait until whichever it turns out I need is done researching. I would rather not have to worry about having the right ones researched ahead of time or turning out that I missed one after I realise that it's crucial to me at that particular point in time.
