I've got a few:
1) I won my first game ever, as TEC, by CULTURE! And against an advent player, too. Seriously. Not first game TEC, but first game EVER.
2) In the un-updated vversion of Sins, I made a custom map with 99 planets, 50 pirate bases, and 1 star. I built up my huge fleet, and slowly made my way to the star. By that time, I checked the game stats, and every EASY AI player (9 of them) had killed atleast 35 capital ships, 2,000 frigates/cruisers, 500 structures, and 400 pirates. When I discovered this, I knew the game would take several days to finish (24 hours, not sun up to sun down), so I built 42 Kostura's, fired all of them at the planets where each fleet was kept, and listened to "It's the End of the World as we Know It" by REM. Satisfied that nothing could possibly go wrong, I deleted the save with dignity.
