Well, I had some asteroids in between so it was several phase jumps, but it took you about 30 minutes to make the trip from Earth out to Neptune.

You'll notice that neptune is like 80 times further away from the sun than mercury. Accounting for the fact that I didn't put the planets in a straight line, so your phase jump wasn't directly outward from the sun, this made the distance to the outer solar system utterly ridiculous. It was actually an interesting concept that forced me to separate my resources into two empires, one for the "near" solar system and one for the "far" solar system, but aside from sheer mind-bogglingly long travel times I haven't found a good way to get the same effect in other maps I've made.
