Hi all I've had a quick look through the forums for this question but have only found similar ones, not what I'm after!

Anyway, I got this game from my girlfriend for Xmas (second hand so the key is no good to me boo) and have been playing through some random + custom maps to tick off the achievements.

I finished a 28 hour game today (not literally in one day, that's impossible...) which was my attempt to conquer all four of the 'Win the game by yourself against 1-2-3-4 hard AI players' as I'd seen in a post here that you can get them all by shooting straight for four hard opponents.

Trouble is, I've finished the game, wiped out 3/4 enemies completely then got the last one cornered by their home planet and Novalith'd the hell out of them! Yes I fight like a coward but I didn't want to scratch my shiny L10 battleships with a messy fleet action

When the last planet fell though it gives me the victory screen and I have essentially beaten all four opponents on my own. Or at least that's what I thought, but when I checked my achievements I didn't have a single one of them done.

So I'm hoping someone here can tell me what I did wrong as I have a few obvious thoughts but am not sure...

So firstly I played on a custom map (again me being a coward, it gave me a star system of 90% terran planets nice and far away from the other four players!) so I wondered if it has to be done on a premade or random map to count...

Also, and this for obvious reasons is my biggest worry, I made some cunning peace treaties and ship visions etc to help me on my way. Also did a lot of missions so at one point all of the other players were quite fond of me! I was a team on my own and so were all the other AI factions so if making temporary peace counts as not being on my own I'm gonna be pretty pissed off but I was hoping maybe someone here could help me out...
