“Why the excitement? Well, there's the fact that 15 years after its release there still hasn't been a fantasy strategy game that matches of Master of Magic, or MOM as it is affectionately called. Some franchises, such as Age of Wonders, have come close, but they didn't quite capture the gameplay, random maps, and replayability of MOM. If you never played MOM, it could best be described as sort of a blend of fantasy and Sid Meier's Civilization, but it wasn't a Civ clone as it had a bunch of cool features all its own. With Elemental, Stardock looks to capture all those elements and incorporate new ones, such as the ability to create and share content easily and seamlessly with the community at large.”
