I've been through the forums pretty thoroughly to see if this has already come up and I couldn't find it... aplogies if I missed it... but has anyone else experienced this:

Sometimes when I start a new game (not always), and I load into my home system looking at my two construction ships, I get absolutely no response from the mouse wheel as far as zooming goes.  I can pan around the map, change my angle, everything else about the camera works, but for some reason I can't zoom.  If I save the game (not that there's much point right at the begnning), close SINS, and then reopen the program and the saved games, 9 times out of 10 things are fine.

I'm not too technically minded but some people might want to know I'm running on a Toshiba Tecra M3 with a GB of RAM, something in the neighborhood of 2.0 ghz, and using the onboard NVIDIA GeForce Go 6200/6600.  It's done bizarre things before, suffice it to say.

It's not really a crippling problem, just an annoying one.  Thanks for reading.
