GalaxyForge Saving Help

    I just got GalaxyForge and i made a map but when i went to save i didnt have a clue were to put it. YES i have been to the GalaxyForge for newbs post but that confused me even more on were to save it. (THERE SUPOSED TO HELP WHY DONT THEY HELP WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! ). Sniffl srry for that brake down.

P.S. im also having trouble with multie player when ever i try to connect it says error disconected with game server chould you help me with that. I don't know if it has something to do with the fact i have a american computer in the uk or not but that info might help you nonNewbs who have probebly delt with this problem befor. I HATE BEING A NEWB

As I understand it, maps created in Galaxy Forge go here:

C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy
(Or wherever you installed Sins to.)

I believe you would need the_Monk's guide for the connection problem. Located under the green text in this thread.

I did that and i opend up sins but it didn't work. i will show u the path i took
1. computer
2. program files
3. stardock game
4. sins of a solar empire
5.galaxy then i saved.

when i went to look for it under the new games i chouldn't find it.

in the galaxy forge i left one of the browes things empty. chould that be the problem. and if so how do i fix it. What do i put there

im having a very similar problem...

i cant get galaxy forge maps from the internet to work either

open in notepad. make sure first lines read like this

TXT
versionNumber 1
isBrowsable TRUE
browsePictureName ""
browseName ""
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Put map in main install directory, "Galaxy" folder. You don't need a browsePictureName or browseName.

-also check to see if the map was designed for a particular version of SINS or requires specific mods.


PM me a link to your map and I'll take a look at it and tell you where it's off.

The version number does change with the beta patch. (versionNumber 2 I think)
