The Krynn made an comical attempt to taunt me today.  They proudly announced that they had begun investigating planetary invasion, but would share the technology with me because of our past (we had been bitter enemies for the entirety of the game).  They then mentioned they were just mocking us.  This was a pretty weak effort because A) I had researched planetary invasion around a year ago.  I had just taken their homeworld using aforementioned planetary invasion.  Announcing to me that they didn't even HAVE planetary invasion only tipped me off that I didn't need garrison fleets to guard against surprise transports.  Furthermore, it's not like offering the tech to me would have mattered as I already had it, and they couldn't possibly have not noticed I was actively taking their planets.  Maybe civs need to hold off on their boasts until they have enough espionage to KNOW that their technology is superior before flaunting it.
