Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

What do higher acess levels do?

Some of you have alreday read my post(how do get highet acess levels?). Now  I know how to get it, what do acess levels do?

Nothing really.

There was an area that was accessable only to members Diplomat and above that was hardly used but that seems to have disappeared with the latest forum upgrade.

Kryo could certainly answer this better but I think the access levels are mostly left over from the days when forum moderation was performed by members of the forum itself. Kryo was among these and eventually became the official SD forum moderator.

There still are a few folks that show up now and then and whose name highlight (or used to before the latest forum upgrade) as a forum moderator but what real moderation ability they have is unclear. Also from what I've seen most of these folks are at the Governor level which isn't even on the list.

The bottom line is that access levels are basically that someone from Stardock feels that you have made some positive contribution to the forum community.
