I just let Impulse do the "micro-update" of Dark Avatar from ...100 to ...103. No problem. But, the lack of progress bars was a bit disconcerting. Immediately after pressing the update button, I started wondering if anything was happening. There was no feedback that the process was starting. Then, the status indicator changed to Archiving. But, this just sat there, unchanged, for several minutes (I was pretty sure it was working because the disk was churning). After a couple of minutes, the status changed to "Building File List" (I think). That didn't stay there very long, but again, there was no indication that it was actually working. In the end, everything worked fine. But, starting from the moment the update button is pushed, Impulse needs to let the user know it's actually working on something and that the specific task has not gotten stuck (i.e., it needs progress bars of some kind).
