is anyone having the problem where you load up a saved game and it does not retain the background color from your game settings when you set up the game?  I thought the patch list addressed this but it does not seem to have any affect on my game this way.  really annoying, seems like a strange bug to have slipped through.  every time you load a saved game you are stuck with some new colored space background and using the options menu does not fix it. in fact I am finding post-patch that several user interface menu items do not take effect when you click/unclick them.
