STARDOCK! PLEASE let me keep my custom font sizes at reboot!!!

Why I hate Windowblinds

Title sez it all - WHY do you force font sizes back to default on REBOOT?!?! Dammit, with all the huge hirez monitors now this is a deal breaker for me (and many others). PLEASE figure this out NOW.

You seem to be doing it the wrong way.

If you want to change the font sizes in a skin, use the options in Wbconfig to do so which were added in WB6.  You can either make WB enlarge all the fonts used in the skin or you can manually change each font you want to change.

Do not use the advanced display properties option or it will be overridden next time the skin is applied (such as on reboot)

I have used Wbconfig to change the fonts and upon applying, nothing changes! It would be nice if the creators of the blinds wouldn't use such tiny fonts as they are almost unreadable on large monitors which is the norm today. The main ones are the "more programs list" and in the links bar of IE. I am not sure what controls these. The only sure way for me, has been through advanced properties, saving as a theme and reapplying on reboot. Perhaps a short tut is in order as I have many blinds that I cannot use due to the tiny fonts.

A little off topic, but related ... what is said about fonts also can apply to close, minimize and open window buttons. I am sight impaired and some buttons are too small to use practically on large monitors. I realize the buttons have to fit the skin theme and that individuals have different wants/needs, so passing this on just for information/consideration.

The ability to change the button size in WB 7 would be a nice new feature

Just a note:
system buttons like ex......cancel,install,accept .....etc....
this is one button that the text changes in accordance of the command large fonts force the words out of the button!

This same scenario is true with some menus ,when building a windowblind using a small font is a safe way of heading off these issues

I build home theater PCs and have displays over 120" to combat this I play with the fonts in each WB

I always change the fonts and it works just fine. Open the WB config, go to the fonts section, click on the "you can change system fonts" at the very bottom of the window, change the font sizes you want, click on "save font change" after every one you change, and that's all you need it do. It actually rewrites it to the wba itself, it shouldn't reset when you reboot.

The ICON FONT apparently CANNOT be changed and is reset EVERY REBOOT - check it out! Uninstalling WB6 for the last time....

HEY - I've been complaining about this for ages - how difficult would it be to add an override for ICON FONT SIZE?!?! My only apparent option is editing the skins themselves - nice option. Thanks for the advice Dr.... GET IT DONE, STARDOCK. I am going to visit your office next week to discuss...

take it you have gone into Display Properties Appearance effects and ticked Use large icons or do you just want larger text with normal size icons.

Other than, IMO, not a good way to handle a minor issue, the lead developer, Neil Banfield, lives in the UK.

But the WB dev is in the UK 

What is there to work out?  You have a feature request.  You posted it.  You should email it to Stardock.  They will evaluate it and either do it or not.  What is going there going to do?
