There is no tweakvista_setup.msi file

By Posted November 29, 2007 00:40:27
I am going to tell everyone I know about how BAD this experience has been!

I need to know how to get this software off my pc- or do I have to reinstall windows to get rid of it?

There is no msi file. It won't let me go any farther.

did you try the add remove programs?
just because the software didn't work for you does not mean it won't work for other people. or maybe you 'tweaked' your o/s too much and it stopped working properly.
all tweaking software should be used with caution and if your not sure what a setting does then don't change anything.

NOT HAPPY!!!

where did you download from.

and what problems have you got as most love the programs not tried tweakvista so can't comment on that one.

Before you started using Tweak Vista did you create a system restore point? It offers users the opportunity to do so before tweaking anything.
Where did you download Tweak Vista from? I only ask because I got mine from SDC and have had no problems.

WAIT!!! I wana hear what "bad experiance" u had first
first off , if you cannot uninstall from add remove program it means your installation is curroped, to me it seam u are looking for a unninstall.msi in the tweakvista folder?
have u tryed add remove program.

have you tryed to reinstall incase an installation curroption occured? I cant see how bad this program could have been for you unless u seriously dont know what your doing and played around with tweaks that you should not have been playing with..beside there is always restore points.. hence u cannot go wrong.

Here we go again.

Before you go running off telling the world how bad you "think" this software is....how about trying to solve the problem first! I don't recall seeing you posting anything about asking for help in fixing it. Problems can happen with "any" software...good or bad...but its usually the users that has done something to mess something up...and then when that happens its easier to blame the software.

If you explain your problem and ask politely for help here you will get it.

WG is right you know..."a problem shared" and all that.

I agree with all previous posters that said, "Check in Add/Remove". You should not have any problems uninstalling the software. It would be nice if you posted what problems you had/were having. Maybe someone can be of assistance in finding a solution. Should that not be the case, perhaps the programmers will find your experience useful and use it to correct the problem...my two cents

I smell a 'fail 40'....

Perfectly working applications won't work properly, unless used properly.

If you installed through Stardock Central, you should uninstall through SDC.

If you can't acces to the remove function through "add/remove program", and as it seems to be a .msi installation, try using the generic .msi uninstall systemm from Microsoft ==>WWW Link

well the truth of the matter is that this software is in fact a very bad software. it does absolutely nothing that vista doesn't do already. I think you need to find something better to do than bitch at people who have issues with a poorly created software.

If you installed through Stardock Central, you should uninstall through SDC.

Likewise,If you installed through Impulse you should uninstall through Impulse. You will not see an entry in add/remove programs for it.

It is also important to know that downloading and archiving cannot cross over the platforms either. If you have an archive from Stardock Central you cannot restore it in Impulse and vice verse. Just an FYI
