control groups

can you make control groups for certain amounts/types of ships...if not i hope you can program it so you could....i think that keeping track of so many ships in one system is hard and takeing the time to clik on exactly the ones you want in a system to phase out....its annoying.

They exist in Sins just like they've existed in any RTS for years

*sigh* Yes supcomfan, you can. Thats in almost every RTS to date.

Is there a way to select a certain type of ships quickly? Lets say I want all of my flak frigates to attack fighters but I want everyone else to attack something else, what would I do? In other RTS's that I've played it was that you'd double click on the unit and it would select all of them...

Alt+clicking on a unit type will select all the units of the same type in the grav well

It's even easier to grab the flak frigate stack in the empire tree and tell them to target the enemy fighter stack in the empire tree. On a side note, the flak frigates should automatically prioritize those fighters without you having to interfere.

But the empire tree stacks only go up to 10 ships, so if you have more and you want all of them selected you still need to alt click
