2 questions, both regarding Econ Starbases:

I build a star base chain between my planets and my trading partner planet.

1. I build my next base just on the edge (but inside) the sphere of influence of the previous base. In other word each star base is in the radius of the other. Am I wasting starbases? Should I just make the edges sphere of influence touch, rather than capture the last base?

2. If the 2 planets are outside the sphere of influence of the star base, should I bother to upgrade the "military, Social and research production" with more constructors or just upgrade the trade percentage? Do you get a bonus if the planets are outside the sphere?

Something tells me I am wasting alot of constructors building them too close together (on the trade route) and upgrading them with Mil, Soc & Res points when no planet is around.

Please clarify this for me.

BTW, I play both DL & DA (probably no diff between games regarding my questions, right?)
