I haven't played GC in awhile, and I'm trying to remember how the mechanics go. I'm going to start with morale, though these observations hold for the economy as well. I'll work on production once I have a happy, wealthy population.
This experience is from a GC2:DA test game. Small map, just me and the Altarians.
So, I let my homeworld pop get to 12B. The info for the Civilization Capital says it provides a 25% moral boost. Yet when it and the starport are the only buildings on the planet, I get a 16% boost. Also, I paid 3 ability points for a 15% boost in morale. That's what shows up under the Civilization Manager tab, but the tooltip (whose totals provide an accurate number) claims only a 10% native ability benefit.
On top of this, I played around with mining a morale resource. I used three constructors and got the benefit up to 16% or something. It only change the morale on my homeworld about 5%.
So... I'm just wondering how exactly morale works. What is the % modifying? Are the labels on the custom civ. setup just inaccurate? Is the label on the Civ. Capital inaccurate?
Any information appreciated.
