peacekeepers gone nutty

Peacekeepers popped up. They're destroying my trade routes, attacking fleets orbiting planets, star bases, everything. This really seems to be a bug. They are not just attacking ships in other civilizations borders. They're really just destroying everything. My trade routes are getting dropped, my starbases are being destroyed and there are too many of them for me to wipe out. I dont have the tech, and if i have to spend the next 50 turns trying to get the tech to take these guys out, I'm just going to start over...

Any advice??

The normal game is running 1.50.100
and the expansion is version 1.59.078

Hi!
Any advice??

Not for the current game, besides take that as an opportunity to build proper infrastructure on your planets, and get better tech, and only then deal with peacekeepers. For the next one game disable Mega events.

it isn't normal that they kill everything is it? That doesn't sound very peaceful.

it seems that it is normal. look for this recent thread:

"What is the deal with the Peacekeepers?" a lot of players chimed in about this.

But this has to be a bug doesn't it? These guys really aren't doing what they're supposed to be doing.

I think of them more like the Peacekeepers from Farscape, more warmongering zealots than "Peacekeepers"

I think they come from an alternate universe where Big Brother rules the galaxy. They're from MiniPax.

I don'y think its really what they're SUPPOSED to do, i just think your game is behaving just like everyone else's. on the other thread it was mentioned that if you have a ship in AI space when the peacekeepers arrive then the delacre war on your whole race, not just your ships in violation. Not that this actually helps you since you dont know when they may be coming to get your ships home.

It seems that when the peacekeepers arrive, that any ship that is not in its own sphere of influence is targeted...this is all ships, including freighters, starbases. Even if you bring your ships home, they have violated anothers space, and therefore must be destroyed. So if you have a ship that was out of your territory when the peacekeepers arrive, they will hunt it down and destroy it, even if they have to destroy an entire fleet to get that one ship.

The peacekeepers rule with an iron fist...much like the Farscape peacekeepers.
