When i am running Cursor XP along with a WB5 skin with transparency, the mouse cursor appears to move behind the transparent areas. This is really awkward when you are clicking on buttons to close or minimize windows. I also noticed that it is doing it with OD plus docks that have transparency. It also does it with apps like Desktop Sidebar with transparency.

There is a known bug in XP as to how it handles/draws alpha/per pixel layers.
For CursorXp and OD Plus unloading then reload normally clears it up, for WB try changing skins then back to trans skin, changing then changing back screen res works for some, last resort, a reboot should fix all.

Thanks, Cavan. Found another reference
here
and it seems to just be something to live with at this point.

Thanks all. A reboot did work for me. I have since switched to another skin w/o transparency as the problem reappeared soon after the reboot.

I'm afraid the only solution to this is Windows Vista in Aero composition mode. Microsoft have repeatedly closed bugs on this topic as "WONTFIX".
