Is it just me....

...or are the minor races disapearing with the new patch?

well, like i said, is it just me, or are the minor races almost completely gone or rare with the addittion of the the V1.11 patch? (think thats the right one) seriously, when i start a new game, i pick a large galaxy, maybe 3 or 4 additional races, and when all is explored, there is either only one, (MAYBE two) or no minor races....

i mean its one thing to make them competely dumb and not enable the to colonize (which i THINK i fixed, but can't test cause the buggers are so rare), but to wipe them out????

idk, the main reason i want them back is cause a modded a few races (which i know, saw the other post pertaining to this, but it DOES work) and wanted to test them...

which gives me an idea which shouldn't be in this section, but its goin here anyways: after minor races colonize (or conquer) 2 or more planets, the UP should hold a vote to draft that minor race INTO the UP. (in other world, minor race becomes major race) anyone agree with this?

k, nuff rambling and moaning fer now, but seriously, anyone know how to bring minor races back with a vengeance? or if theres a way to mod the UP into drafting a minor race?

I have also seen this. On a large galaxy there were no minors. Then one popped up then I conquere them because they had a class 15.

However, I do want some more minors, like if you have a low-morale planet just let 'em go and let them be their own happy little race.

Whenever I do get minors, they are never powerful. I have NEVER seen the I-League. I really want to see them, it would add a much needed spice to the game.

I also like the idea of a minor becoming a major, a minor like the I-League.

I just played a huge galaxy game on v1.11 and there were 3 or 4 minors, so at least I'm not havin' that problem...

what about an option, during Galaxy Generatio, similar to ''# of star'', ''# of planets'', which would be about minor races?

the ones who like just a few would get just a few. I love it when they are abundant.

Actually, I think Minor Races could become a major developpement area. If the I-League was more present, for example, in Interstellar Politic.

I would also like to see up and coming minors become majors by way of the UP. I have never seen the I Leauge are they like the Fundamentalists?

I never seem to get any random events. After 20+ games at least, I have never even gotten a precusor ship, not even once. I saw the Ai get one or two back in 1.0x though.

I agree with the above posts, the number of minor races each game is a tad on the low side, I play on a medium size galaxy these days and I get either none, or 1. Needs to be user selectable in my opinion.

i think thats a great idea, user slectable minor races. how many you want, maybe even select which ones?

and as for the i league, BEFORE i updated, i saw the I-league 2 or three times, and minor races were abundant, but since i upgraded, as i said, the minors are all but extinct.... and th Ileague? pffffft, forget about it.

i'm still working onm some of the minor coding on the, well, minor races, and if i figure out how to make them actually some what intelligent, i will share the code. and if someone else knows how t do it, please share!!!
