Here is a better explination:

I used Carotfarmers post on how to change planets and such and that seems to overwritten with the main game files when you specifiy a homeworld name so that every planet and the star is named the same as the homeworld.

For your custom race, your homeworld name is the same as your system name. Because it doesn't have anything said to the contrary in the XML file as to what to name the other planets, then your entire homeworld system will share that name, just like in star systems.

This never happened in 1.0X I was able to name every planet and the star differently why?

I don't want to go through the process of putting a screenshot on here but I guess I'll have to.

When you create a custom race, you give a name to the homeworld and it can be different than the star.

That is what I acheaved along with a few other things not mension in carotfarmers post on how to change planet names. you can alter a planet picture in photoshop and change the colors of the oceans and surface a little flip flopping and voila you have a unique planet wish I could use the other planet surface file though maybe add some rings and change the class and the texture and that all to it except the part that is mensioned in the post by carotfarmer to chage the name of the planet..
