I've found that often the game crashes for me when I try to load a game.

The game boots up fine, but when I got to load, the loading screen just sticks and the game crashes.
Mostly this happens when I've gotten further along (and I assume the save files are larger). But occationally it happens when I try to load an early game.

One time I was able to load one of the "broken" game files and as soon as I entered a battle it died.

Any idea why this happens? I spend hours playing a game and can't seem to finish because my longer games freeze when I try to load them.
