Had a funny game just now. The Yor were at war with the Torians, and losing badly. So I decided to give them some of my ships, and over the course of about 10 turns they received almost half of my fleet. I usually build small, but very advanced fleets, and my ships were suited perfectly for fighting Torian ships. (They used Beam weapons, myself MDs and Barrier defenses). However, due to the AIs incompetence of using my ships (it didn't put them into fleets, but had them charge all separately into Torian fleets consisting of about 12 ships, when it could've won a few battles if it had just put them into fleets), the Yor surrendered eventually. 2 turns later the Torians declared war on me. Now my question is: Does the AI know I supported its enemy with ships and technology? Or is this just a coincidence? This game has a lot of fun potential, as I'm also in a war with the Iconians, who also declared war on me for "living space". The same reason the Altarians used when they declared on, and were promptly eradicated, by me. (Notice something? Altarians, Iconians, and Torians? All good races, and I checked. No alignment changes. I am neutral. Do something about this..)
I now tried to get other races to take over the war against the Iconians for me, so I could concentrate on the Torians, who are currently the No. 1 civ. However, with 1.1 it seems impossible to have another civ start a war for me! What is required now to actually bribe someone to start a war? 9000BC and ALL my technology didn't do a damn thing.
And as I mentioned above, have the AI group received ships into fleets first, and don't have them charge all alone into 3 enemy fleets. Or give me the ability to give the AI entire fleets, and not just single ships as a present.
Cheers!
