I read through a post that Frogboy put up a long while ago, in which he stated the reasons that multiplayer is not an existing feature in Galactic Civ II. It was a well thought out and well written post, and the reasons that it was not included with the initial release of the game were all valid, particularly given the price of the game. The main point that was made at the end of the post was that if enough voices were heard, then multiplayer would be considered as part of a paid expansion.
I understand the need for 'quanitity of people' over 'vocality of a few' in this matter, since ultimately what matters the most is how many of the fans of Galactic Civ II would be willing to pay another twenty or thirty bucks for an expansion that includes this feature. I would like to be among the first to say that I am solidly among them, and I have another two or three friends (alas, they are too lazy to post

) that would gladly buy such an expansion as well.
I am hoping that this thread will help give voice to those of us that are greatly interested in the addition of this feature. The AI in this game is excellent - but there is nothing like the feeling of knowing that one of your friends is at the receiving end of your empire's might, and nothing like the ability to team up with a friend and try to tackle the best of what the AI can throw at you.
So then, who's with me? Speak up!
