Would love to mod but...

I am using blender...and the problem that im having is that its almost impossible for me to import the models in ".max" format and edit them...could someone make a fix to the mod download so that they're all in ".3ds" or ".blend" format please....thank you for your time.

Which mods are you talking about? Maybe i can help... I am using all the major 3d programs alternately trying to find one that works properly...

The sample ship mod pack...it was one of the first things i downloaded...however i have spent the better part of four or five days trying to import them to blender...without success....could you please save them as ".blend" or ".3ds" files?? i would greatly appreciate it!

I've just started messing with Blender, and I'm having the same issue.

Also, Blender will export .X files, but it won't import them. Unless there's a way around that??

im not really sure...im trying to get ahold of 3ds max....from school but it'll take a little while...lol we're still on spring break

If you have info on Academic pricing for 3ds max, please share it--I'm a student as well.

erm....i was just planning on using the computers at my college........but uh.....im sure there are other ways to obtain a copy.....like the trial version for one example...but tomorrow i can find out what a student version runs..oh and btw for some strange reason i can't even import .3ds models....and whenever i try and import a .obj file it locks up blender....maybe .blend is the only way to go?
