Start up spacing and 10 race max, Dread Lords Scenario

I like to play gigantic map because i like space to breath in my games, and also like to fields as many aliens as i possibly can, which clearly is going make things more crowed lol

Addtionally i also always play custom race

I also greedy and want see more more and more lol

bearing all this i mind i have 4 suggestions.


1) Allow for a BIGGER galactic map (or 2) maybe call them 'Galactic' (and 'Universe' if 2 extras sizes)

2) Allow for 10 races max rather than 9, so we can play our custom race against ALL 9 other races

3) Spacing, allow a option that creates a suitable 'minimum' spacing between start up locations, i sometime find theat we all crammed in small space and make expasion inpossible for some race, myself included


Finally....

4) Dread Lord Scenario for the generic game, this could be simple addional event in game, when game reaches a certain point the 'Dread Lords' emerge and begin to invade the galaxy, at war with ALL nations, meaning you must defend against the might of the 'Dread Lords' while coninuing to compeate agaisnt all the other nations as you would in a normal open game

There could be a problem with the dread lords appearing out of nowhere in the sense that they'd need some place to establish a colony. That would majorly suck for whoever ends up the unlucky sap whose star system is randomly chosen to host the Dread Lords' homeworld.

It could pick it out of the most powerful, or randomly from the most powerful faction's world with a preferance for worls above rank 6.

The Dread Lords SHOULD BE an EVENT in the game...LIKE THE BORG in BOF or Antarians in MoO2...excellent IDEA...it should also be an option...like a LOT on Habital planets....like little DL, medium DL, Heavy DL, etc...

I encountered an odd bug today actually. I was playing as a custom race on a large map. I always have nine races selected so that is the default, when I started the game I had all nine default races in game, plus my own. Made it even more interesting.

Funny thing was the game I started after that was also set at nine, and I was playing one of the presets, and it would only let me pick eight.

Restarting fixed it though.

i think this confirms the idea is certainly possible then, and i sure it wouldnt be to hard to add


and yes i agree with foxdrake too, they 'should' be a event, at least a optional one, i personally like to play the open game, i not bothered with the campain at all, it dont appeal to me the same, but still, i love to face the might and power of the dread lords in my open game heehee

Hopefully stardock will see this and choose to add it into the game....it wouldn't be too hard to add just another event....maybe even linked on a timer or maybe on colonization....the quarterly reports already say how much of the galaxy is inhabited and by whom or maybe population related....i haven't gotten the chance to play the campain because my computer crashes the game after just about every save.....but im looking to upgrade and this would be really cool....

STARDOCK!!!!!! Please add this!! :-?
