The Available Projects column is currently sorted in alphabetical order. I find it difficult to quickly find an improvment or some other building because you have to sort through all of the items. This also becomes an issue when you conqer a planet and want to build some improvements on unallocated land or you want to change the way a planet operates.

I suggest, for the Available Projects section, making tabs for the different types of projects according to what they do and then listing the items in latest to basic order, or even the ability to sort them in a few different orders. (also with an "all" tab)

Instead of tabs, filters could also be used. This way you can filter only those types of improvements you would like to place and again with the ability to sort them how you choose.

I find the Available Projects list confusing to look at and difficult to find the improvement i want to build. This is aside from the govenors upgrades. Sometimes you have to demolish something to go in a different direction.
